Merchant & Commerce Terms

Rules for orders, Cowries, live selling, events, and Cartpo-linked commerce.

Last updated: 4 June 2026

1. Introduction

These terms govern commerce on iHolda. They form part of your agreement with us alongside the Terms & Conditions, Community Guidelines, and Privacy Policy.

2. Scope

These Merchant & Commerce Terms apply when you buy or sell through iHolda, including marketplace orders, Cowries and virtual gifts, live-stream selling, product tags, events and tickets, merchant subscriptions, and Cartpo-linked shop features. They supplement our Terms & Conditions and Community Guidelines.

3. Cartpo identity link

  • Consumers and merchants may link iHolda and Cartpo accounts when both use the same email, subject to in-app identity-link flows.
  • Linking enables owner and creator selling paths, plan-based limits on linked creators, and paid-event eligibility for qualifying merchant plans.
  • Standard plans may restrict paid events or linked-creator capacity; Premium and Pro plans offer higher limits as described in the app.
  • You may unlink through in-app settings; unlinking may affect selling, catalog visibility, and event payment features.

4. Orders and delivery

  • Merchants are responsible for accurate listings, pricing, availability, and fulfilment unless we state otherwise.
  • Buyers must provide valid delivery information where required. Delivery times and fees are shown at checkout.
  • Order status, cancellations, and issues may be handled through in-app order flows and support.
  • iHolda may facilitate communication but is not the seller of record for third-party merchant inventory unless clearly identified.

5. Payments and taxes

Card and local payment methods are processed by third-party providers (such as Stripe, Paystack, or Korapay). We do not store your full payment card number. You are responsible for applicable taxes, duties, and fees unless stated at checkout. Chargebacks and payment disputes may result in account holds or reversals of Cowries or order access.

6. Cowries and in-app purchases

  • Cowries are virtual currency used for gifts on posts and live streams and related features.
  • Cowries have no cash value and are generally non-refundable once credited, except where required by applicable law.
  • In-app purchases may be subject to Apple App Store or Google Play billing terms.
  • Top-ups on iholda.com may include bonus Cowries (for example 25% extra on web packages) as shown at purchase; bonuses may change.
  • When you gift Cowries, value is transferred according to in-app rules; creators may receive a share per our settlement logic.

7. Live commerce

  • Selling live, tagging products, and receiving gifts during streams require eligibility (trust tier, verification, shop setup, or identity-linked merchant access).
  • You must accurately represent products shown during live streams.
  • We may suspend sell-live access for policy violations or technical issues.

8. Events and tickets

  • Hosts set event pricing, capacity, and descriptions. Paid events may require merchant plan eligibility and payout setup.
  • Refund policies for tickets, if any, are shown at purchase or in event materials; statutory consumer rights still apply where required.
  • Hosts are responsible for lawful event conduct; guests attend at their own risk (see Community Guidelines).

9. Reviews

Some reviews (for example product review videos) may require a verified purchase within a time window. Reviews must be honest and comply with Community Guidelines. We may remove misleading or abusive reviews.

10. Refunds and cancellations

Refund handling depends on order type, merchant policy, and payment method. Platform-initiated refunds or Cowries adjustments may occur for failed fulfilment, duplicate charges, or fraud prevention, as determined by iHolda in its discretion and subject to law.

11. Prohibited products and services

You may not list or sell illegal goods, counterfeit items, weapons, drugs where prohibited, stolen property, or services that violate law or our Community Guidelines. We may remove listings and suspend merchants without notice.

12. Merchant subscriptions

Cartpo or iHolda merchant plans (Standard, Premium, Pro, or trials) may bill on a recurring basis where offered. Features, linked-creator caps, and paid-event rights depend on your active plan. Trials and upgrades are shown in-app; failure to pay may downgrade features.

13. Disputes between buyers and merchants

Disputes about product quality, delivery, or refunds should first be addressed between buyer and merchant through in-app tools or support. iHolda may assist informally but is not a party to your contract with the merchant unless we expressly act as seller.

14. Friend Pay and group savings

Features such as Friend Pay or group-buy (Join2Save-style) campaigns must be used honestly. Misrepresentation, failure to complete purchases, or abuse may lead to restrictions and loss of CP or commerce access.
